Ramoneur Child's Bonnet
18th century

Wonderful print with exotic flowers in rich colours and a slight glaze.  The black and white braid and lining are later.  Worn at the back of the head, over a linen cap.

The dark brown ground (Ramoneur) with exotic foliage in mauve, ochre, bue, pink and green, edged with black and white woven braid, lined with black and white striped cotton.
