Spitalfields Apricot/Gold
1760-70

This length is of the most beautiful apricot gold silk woven with gold coloured mendering trails. Imagine the dress worn by candlelight. I have five lengths in all.



 


Cataloguing

With small bunches of flowers alternating in pink/red and pinky rust,apricot, laying on a ivory striped ground with two different bands of stripes, a gold flower and leaf meander between the bunches. 



A -31  x 19 in;  80  x 48 cm wide selvedge to selvedge.

A - Very good. The top has some pleating, from when it was part of the skirt of a dress.
