Crysede scarf - A copy
2020

I don't normally buy copies but this is so beautiful and wearable that I made an exception as it is impossible to find original Cryséde scarves and of course they should not be worn. This one was silk screen printed and reproduced by textile artist Vivienne Prideux, in a limited run of 18 for the Penlee House Gallery and Museum shop, Penzance, Cornwall in 2020. The design is Penberth Farm which was originally printed 1925-33. It would make a very nice present.

Cataloguing

The vermillion silk ground with banana and light mauve, light and dark grey trees and hillsides, the edges hand rolled.

A couple of very minor feint marks to one end which are hardly noticeable.
