Gentleman's Stock
1795-1810

A very rare item which would have been fastened with a stock buckle at the back of the neck. 47 inches of fine soft cotton have been gathered into the width of the stock with tne  lower side open and unseamed.


Cataloguing

of fine cotton gathered into double thickness tabs, one end with two buttonholes, 18 x 6 1/2 in or 47 x 16 cm long



 


Condition

Good off white colour although a little grubby. There are some rust? marks to lower open side edge of the stock and to both sides of the wider end. Photos available.
