Indian Gujerati Embroidery
c 1700

This flower spray is extremely rare because of the finest and minuite chain stitches, worked with a tambour needle.  It is the finest embroidery I have seen. Framed up it would be make a very special gift.

Two leafy stems wrapped by a third, with pointed shaded blue green leaves, with shaded pink flowers and buds, worked in silks in a chain stitch, all on a natural coloured fine twill weave ground.

5 in/12 cm square.

Very very good condition. The creases are caused because of the tension of the embroidery.
