Rare Norwich Worsted
18th c

Norwich, England was famous for its woven textiles produced from local sheep.  This type of cloth called Camlet, was woven in the small town of Worsted 13 miles (21 km) north of Norwich. The cloth was calendered (glazed) to resist dirt.



Great colour and weave. Unwashed and still has the glaze.
