Rare, unusual and interesting antique costumes and textiles; for museums and collectors looking for that extra special piece, for new and established collectors and for those with a modest budget who want to adorn their person or home.

Embroidered Fichu
Early 19th c

Light and delicate looking but sturdy enough to wear or display.

Triangular and of fine muslin, the corner embroidered with a sinous spray of flowers, with trailing flowers and leaves spreading along the two shorter sides, worked in an outline silk and filled in with diagonal stitches, in shades of cream, eau de nil, pale brown, the edges neatly rolled.

Top edge 64 in; 1.63 m

Very good. Clean and fresh looking. There are a smattering of marks to the top right hand area and then a few to the top left. You should be able to see these from the photos, but ask for detailed shots if helpful.
