Waistcoat
1820-30s

I feel this waistcoat is quite unusual.

Cataloguing

Ivory wool with slightly raised back neck collar, the front with two large curving lapels secured by large buttons, the front double breasted with five similar buttons to each side, the back also of ivory wool, lined with twill weave cotton.

Back neck to hem 16 in; 40 cm

Condition

Very good. One small light brown stain to front underside, 1/4 inch diameter. I would imagine a conservator could remove or make this feinter.
