Beautiful colours and stunning design. This rumal shawl is very soft and therefore of very good quality pashmina. It has been cleaned. From a collector.

Cataloguing

The deep cherry coloured pashmina centre with botehs at each corner emerging from a border of densely populated vegetation and curling tendrils, flanked by a wide border of elongated facing botehs, with leafy fronds woven on pale blue or sage green grounds, two opposing outer borders in pink and two in green, two sides with epaulette borders in pistachio, ivory, saffron, cherry, pink, black and blue green.

6ft 3 in; 1.9 m square

Condition

The cherry centre has some staining, which is unlikely to be removed. There is also a small patch 1 cm diameter.  Each epaulette border has one black section. The fringing from both black sections is missing.
