The jacket of claret silk velvet with rounded lapels sleeves with scalloped cuffs, five buttons missing,  two flap pockets, the back with  vertical pleating and eleven lappets falling over the skirt,  all edged in claret silk taffeta, opening to reveal a dress attached at the shoulders to the jacket, of claret silk tafetta with small turned down collar, pointed front waist, seven machine stitched buttonholes, buttons missing to look like a waistcoat, over a claret silk velvet skirt with front opening with four mother of pearl buttons, the skirt top deep pleated into the cotton waistband, the jacket lined with cotton.

Back nape to hem 26 in; 66 cm

Underarm 30 in; 76 cm.

Very good condition. As already mentioned all but four of the mother of pearl buttons are missing  I have now found the necessary number to be sewn back onto the dress and these are now sewn on. Ask for photo.
