Patchwork Lengths
Late 18th/early 19th c

These four lengths must have originally been from a large coverlet and perhaps the panel behind the bed. The high quality furnishing prints are hand block, copper and roller plate printed, and are really wonderful in variety of designs and colours, nearly all slightly glazed. As you will see they don't make into a whole and some pieces are missing. My feeling is that these could be unpicked and remade either as a coverlet or wallhanging. An ideal occupation during the current crisis!
