This length is inspired by early English embroidery of Charles I 's reign and dated 1630s. Strong linen suitable for upholstery.


Cataloguing

The linen length printed with four different squares, the dated square with tudor rose, confronting lions and unicorns and inititals C R on brown ground; a man and woman surrunded by the tudor rose, thistle, jonquil (small daffodil), squirrel and bird on a ochre ground; the green ground with butterfly, thistle, jonquil and tudor roses on a pistchio ground; flowerheads encircled by leafy stems on a rich cream ground.

The actual print 28 in; 71 cm wide. The whole width with borders 32 in; 81 cm.



Each square 9 1.2 in; 24 cm.
