Spitalfields Skirt Length

Unusual colour which I would think would appear to be gold by candlelight the ivory flowers glinting silver. A skirt length.


Cataloguing

Two curving leafy stems laden with small bunches of flowers climb up the fabric, in ivory, soft pink, old gold, green  and touches of blue, on a taupe coloured ground with two widths of horizontal lines, all in a brocaded tabby weave ground.

Condition

Lovely weightly fabric. At the centre of the length there is a vertical split 3 in; 8 cm long - but not solid. To the left of the split is a small 3/4 in; 2 cm hole. A few pin prick holes.
