Printed Day Dress

A charming unusual print for a dress in fine cotton. The skirt is very very full and would have been worn with a crinoline frame.  Afraid I do not have one so please use your imaginations!



 



 


Cataloguing

The burgundy small flower print within a diamond leaf trellis, the white ground with a self stripe, the round rouleau trimmed neck with a front opening with tight gathers from the shoulder seams pulled into the natural waist, the back with central seam, the rouleau waist with a slight V, the cap sleeves with narrow hand made Bucks? lace, over long sleeves gathered into a rouleau trimmed wristband, the white cotton lining with boning to the sides, hooks and eyes closure, the very full skirt tightly gathered and with a white cotton narrow band to the hem. a white cotton pocket to the inside.



Back neck to hem 57 in;1.45 cm.



Hem 15ft; 4.55 m.



Waist 25 in.



Bust 32 in.


Condition

Really good. There is one small hole to the skirt, and a 1 x 1 in; 3 x 3 cm hole near the skirt opening. There is lots of spare fabric on the inner waistband for mending.
