17 Livery Braids
19th century

Beautifully tightly woven. Are they French with the fleur-de-lys on the shield. These livery braids would be great for cushions, for costume makers or re-enactors. Very nice colours and design. If anyone out their can tell me the family these belonged to I would be most appreciative.

In grand households liveried servants - footmen, carriage drivers and servants - were required to wear impressive uniforms. These braids  with a fox perched on a suit of armour, reflect a wealthy family.
