Unusual apron in that it is silks on linen.

Description

of natural linen embroidered in Rococo style with three triple looped swags interspersed with stylised flowers, below stylised flowerheads and shells within foliate scrolls, surrounded by small sprays of flowers, the sides with C scroll foliage and flowers, in mid-green, coral, mauve, pale blue and brown twisted silks, two pockets with slits to top skirt, tight pleats to top, later cord trim and fastening, 27 1/2 in or 70 cm long, waist 10 1/2 in or 27 cm.

Condition

Excellent condition. The later cord trim could easily be removed.
