Description

The centre of the scarf with a map of the British Isles scattered with churches, trees, deer, mines, industrial buildingspigs and four leaf clovers, surrounded by the sea with a variety of ships and boats. The corners with 1951 and the Festival of Britain symbol below scenes of our industries including miners, ships, cars and steelworks, the second with the site on the South Bank with the Festival Hall and other buildings, flags and the Skylon, the third with the Globe theatre and a Shakespeare play in progress, the fourth with Medieval trades and craftsman.  The straight sides with scenes from the four areas of Britain. Wales -Caernarvon Castle in Wales and a man fishing , England - a beefeater, the Tower of London, thatched cottages, Scotland -a piper and his dog, Ireland - violinst and a Irish dancer.  

Soft orange, sea green, pale blue, mid brown, yellow on an ivory satin silk ground.

Condition

Very very good. Fresh looking. One very small hole and one very small mark. Ask for photos.
