Gentleman's Stock
1795-1810

This would have been fastened with a stock buckle at the back of the neck. 47 inches of fine soft cotton have been gathered into this stock. One side is open. For similar see Colonial Williamsburg Collection Accession no. 2008-114

Condition

Good off white colour although a little grubby. There are some rust? marks to lower open side edge of the stock and to both sides of the wider end. Photos available.
