The heart at the base of the back opening slit surely means this was made for the girl's marriage. Plain with beautiful seams.

Description

Of fine white linen, gathered waist on narrow waistband with large brass hook and eye, the back opening slit with a heart, backed by a second piece of linen, with white twisted cotton thread horizontal decoration, a side pocket slit, all seams very finely worked, hem.

Hem circumference 9ft 6 in; 2.9 m

Waist to floor 41 in; 1.04 m

Condition

Very good. Fresh with a few very small minor rust markings. A few light stains to the hem area.
