Delightful and very rare piece of Stuart period raised work embroidery.

Description

perched on a leaf, the natural coloured insect padded and raised and outlined with bottle green linen thread, perched on a pointed leaf, shaded in dark, mid and light green with edge outlined in similar thread, 1 1/2 x 3 1/4 in or 4 x 8 cm

Condition

Very good.

Comments

We have hand stitched this to old linen and stretched it over acid free board, ready for framing.
