USA and the World - I send with DHL. All parcels are fully insured.
Items over 100 years old are classed as Antique, and as such there is no tariff into the USA.
Europe - I send with DHL. All parcels are fully insured.
Items over 100 years, classed as Antique are not subject to tariffs.
Import tax: The destination EU country will charge local import VAT on the item's total value (including shipping and insurance), which usually ranges from 17% to 27% depending on the specific member state. Reduced VAT rates sometimes apply to art and antiques.
UK - I send with DHL. You should receive your parcel within a few days. All parcels are insured.
Once a parcel is sent I will of course send you tracking details.
I take out insurance cover through a specialist broker because none of the carriers or Royal Mail will insure an antique item. A small amount will be added to your postage, so you can rest assured, should a parcel go astray, you will be fully covered.
Sales to USA, Canada and all countries outside of EU are zero rated so no VAT charged.
My condition reports are very detailed and accurate. You can always request more photographs.
If you are not satisfied when the item arrives, please telephone or email me immediately. If you feel there is something wrong with the item, which I have not mentioned in my cataloguing and description, then I will refund fully, plus postage both ways. If it is a case that you do not like the piece, I will refund the cost of the item, once it has been returned to me. The client will pay all postage costs.
