Embroidered Textiles 17th-20th century

Textiles and furnishings for collectors and interiors, some rare, some purely decorative. Attractive hangings and cushions, made from antique textiles, bring colour, texture and interest to a room. Occasionally I find embroideries from the Tudor Period (Elizabeth I) as well as the 17th and 18th centuries, covering the Stuart, Hanoverian, Queen Anne and William and Mary reigns. Crewel wool work hangings and pictures. Nineteenth century English embroideries from the Regency and Queen Victoria's long reign. Chinese and Indian embroideries and painted silks cover the export trade.
