Shawls were the essential accessory from the 1780's until the 1870's. From Kashmir came pashmina or goat's hair shawls and from the British Isles, Europe and Russia imitation woven and printed examples. Beautiful and historically fascinating with stunning designs. Some are strong enough for occasional wear or display.
