A Dress Insert & Damask Sleeves
1720s

Charming. For a small infant. The loop on the sleeves would have attached them to the dress.

Amazing decoration on these two items, achieved by a heat process. I am assuming it must have been a heated decorated clamp where the cloth was inserted and a pattern produced. Do tell me more if you know about this. Thank you.

From the attic of a house built in 1550. Provance available.
