Beautifully designed and embroidered. This piece would look good mounted over acid free card, ready for a frame, or it could be mounted on a stretcher and enjoyed hung on the wall.
I do not know who designed or embroidered this piece.
The four sides with briar rose branches curving to the corners with eich purple blackberries and pale pink and ivory dog roses grouped amonst leaves, green speckled with gold silk, the centre branch from the four sides pushing into the centre, agains with small rose buds and roses, all on a natural linen ground.
21 1/2 in; 55 cm.
Very good condition, apart from some very light palest yellow marks here and there. I think this may be damp. When you are looking at the piece they hardly show.
