Brocade Dress Silk
mid 18th c

Beautiful design and colours but poor condition. Ideal for designers.  I have several lengths of this, all in similar condition.

 

Description

Designed with pairs of feathers amongst sprays of flowers, two to the width of fabric, in blue, coral, apricot, peach, greenblue, light and dark brown and banana silks, on a cream damask ground with a zig zag design.

41 x 20 in; 1.05 x 50 cm wide. 

Condition

You should be able to see from the photos there are small vertical splits and a few small marks.  

There are three lengths left. All of similar condition.
