Cree Indian Beading
19th c

A most unusual size. Do let me know if you know what this would have been used for.

the centre with a stylised flowerhead surrounded by bud and leaf sprays, surrounded by a wide border of trailing leafy stems and small flowers, the more elaborate outer border with a variety of flowers, all in soft shades of turquoise, mid blue, pink, red, grey, white on a mink brown wool facecloth ground, lined with black cotton, 23 in or 59 cm square

You should be able to see that beads are mising from the outer edges. The piece is a little dusty and could do with a clean. There are two little holes. Ask for photos if you cannot see them.
