Embroidered Pashmina Stole
Mid 19th century

Stunning colour and almost reversible embroidery. This would be nice to wear if you don't mind some very small holes. Embroidered near Delhi.

Description

The scarlet ground embroidered at each end with a deep border containing three elongated botehs or pines, filled with a flowering branch, surrounded by similar small flowerheads, the border with similar flowers in a meander.

95 x 19 1/2 in; 2.45 x 50 cm

Condition

There are    very small holes to the scarlet field. I can send photos.
