


Stunning and strong. Louis XVI period. Satin weave silk warps over linen wefts, used for 18th century dress as well as upholstery fabric.
Seven lengths of silk satin imberline with wide crimson stripes alternating with amber and cream narrow stripes.
1 length 5ft x 18 1/2 in; 1.5m x 47 cm loom width - £ 250
5 lengths 3ft 1 in x 18 1/2 in; 95 x 47 cm loom width - £150 each
2 triangular shaped pieces 4 ft x 17 in; 1.22 x 43 widest.
There are some very minor makings here and there. Recreated as a dress, these would not show. The fabric is strong.
