Wonderful shades and with huge pattern repeat. Probably English imitating a second quarter of the18th century furnishing fabric.
Long length woven silk with huge design of knobly tree trunks hanging with huge exotic fruits, with smaller flowers and large leaves, with a meandering lace pattern, in deep pink and apricot on a crimson satin ground.
Pattern repeat 53 in; 1.35 m
A - 7ft 10 in x 21in; 2.4m x 54m cm selvedge to selvedge - £ 300
B - 6ft 3 in x 21 in; 1.9 x 54 cm - £ 200
C - 21 x 21 in; 54 x 54 cm - £ 45. Make a good size cushion.
D - 9ft 6 in x 21 in; 2.9 x 54 cm - £ 400
The 2.9 m length and the 54 cm sq are in excellent condition.
A - Half the length is in very good condition, the other half has some wear, but could be rebacked for use.
B - Good condition apart from one end 3 in; 8cm has a little hole. The other end 16 in; 40 cm down has a little damage to the centre, an area of 23 x 5 cm, but not all over. Also where one side has been turned under by 3.5 cm there is damage to 1.10 m. Ask for photo.
C - good condition.
D - Very good condtion.
