A yellow silk tabby with acorns and oak leaf bordered diamonds filled with two designs of bursting pomegranates with carnations, all in yellow silk on a rich red ground.

This piece looks fantastic but there are some horizontal splits. If the piece was backed, and we can do that for you, it would look extremely good. Clearly on the right hand side there has been some braid, which has been removed, leaving a line. 20 in; 50 cm down from the top on the right hand side is a 5 in; 20 cm split. A small one a little lower down. On the right hand side 20 in; 50 cm from the bottom is another split 2 1/2 in; 6 cm wide.

Rich vibrant colours and stunning design. This would look really good mounted onto a backing ready to hang. We can prepare this for you by hand stitching to a backing cloth, stretched over a frame, ready to hang. The colours in the close up, scarlet and yellow are accurate.
