Embroidered with bronze, ivory, green and brown floss silks, the flower centres with spangles, all outlined in couched gold thread, amongst leafy sprays, on a natural Tussur silk ground.

Do look at all the photos and you will see a hand block printed border, waiting to be embroidered. I can sell this seperately.
The Japanese inspired embroidered border may have been worked by the ladies of The Leek Embroidery Society or by a very proficient amateur from a kit.
Elizabeth Wardle who formed The Leek Embroidery Society also produced a replica of the Bayeux Tapestry (actually an embroidery) in 1885, now in Reading Museum.
