Patchwork Coverlet
c 1815-30 fabrics

Fantastic piece. Very attractive and well thought out placing of the prints. I would imagine this was made up soon after c 1830.

the border of a hand block print, the centre roller printed dress fabrics, hexagons interspersed with white ribbed cotton, bordered by a wide band of larger hexagons and edged with a deep border of multicoloured flower design, the whole quilted onto a white backing cloth and edged with white cotton fringing, 8 x 7 ft 4 in; 2.44 x 2.24 m.

Very good apart from 14 large hexagons have rotted fabric and need to be replaced.
