An exceptional towel. Charming ends with scenes of pavillions. Lovely colours.
Each end with four pavillions and bridges between circular designs, surrounded by flowers, partly in pulled stitch in vermillion, bronze, mid blue and green shades, with plenty of goldwork either flat or coiled, on a natural cotton ground, the ends edged with a needlelace.
42 x 20 in; 1.07 x 50 cm
The ends of in very good condition, apart from a little area of dark stain, in the lower border of each end. The central very fine muslin field has a few markings. The centre has three small darks and few marks. Nothing too noticeable.
