Woven Check Silk

Refreshingly simple. In poor condition under the left arem, but a lovely shape for someone to copy or gain inspiration.

Description

The cream silk with a check design with vertical stripes with fine dark blue lines, the horizontal stripes with dark and lighter blue stripes, stand up neck with twelve self covered buttons and hand sewn buttonholes, a slight cutaway front, two slit pockets, backed and lined with cotton. 

Back nape of neck to hem 21 1/2 in; 55 cm

Condition

The top button is missing. There are areas of poor repair stitching, such as above the left hand pocket and lower down on that side. There is also a 3 in; 7 cm split to that area. Under the left arm there is bad damage, presumably from perspiration.
